Is this a disease , because 2 other chicks have the same thing going on. I have removed the first chick from the brooder. I'm afraid I'm going to lose all 17 baby's

Hey, I have the same thing on one of my chicks. I am new to the chicken thing so anything you come up with would be helpful. If I get anything I will post it here. Thanks.

Chicks will often pick other chicks. Are you using a red light? Separate the bleeding ones from the rest of the flock, keep them contained by themselves. Blood is very attractive to meat eaters. Chickens are meat eaters and they will pick and eat another chick until you have no choice but to cull it. Keep them all separate until they are healed. A tiny dab of blu kote will help.
