My chicks have either gnats, fruit flies or something else in their coop.

My chickens have tons of small bugs in their coop, we were thinking that they were either gnats or fruit flies. I just don't want them to lay more eggs and than we will have millions of bugs in their coop. How do I get rid of gnats and fruit flies? Can they bite chickens?

Permethrin spray concentrate is safe and approved in coops and on chickens, and will take out any insect present. At the same time, clean out the litter so you start fresh in there.
