My chicks love music

I have enjoyed my first experience with my chicks so much. Whenever I approach the brooder I kneel down and talk to them at their level and they come right to me. I have placed a radio near the brooder and they chirp away. Has anyone heard of this or am I just thinking they like it.

not for chickens, but lots of my friends that have horse's keep a radio in the barn all the time. it seems to keep the horses calm and entertained.
