That is exactly what's happening to me... I have one extremely aggressive pullet The behavior just started recently. I read it was good to hand feed them because it helps with the bonding. But I am going to stop this. They're too getting crazy. Out of my 7 I probably have 3 or 4 gentle ones.Stop hand feeding then..
I definitely never hand feed birds. Can cause pushy and aggressive behaviour.![]()
Their rudeness is getting worse by the day LO.LPut the treats or food in their dish, or on the ground, don't hand feed them. You can peck them back, fast, hard enough to be irritating and not cause injury too. Be fast, and peck several times if needed.
They are chickens, not puppies! They have their own cute behaviors to enjoy, and being injured by rude behavior needs to stop.
