My chicks want to come in!

We had 3 ISA Browns that we’re extremely sociable. If we left the back door open for just a minute we would have chickens in the house. We ended up constructing a fence around the back door area to keep them out and keep the area poop free.

Mine used to come on my porch all the time and stare in the door. I stopped that ,,I went and bought one of those water sprinklers that activates when something is close,,they stay away from the porch now, but they started digging in my flower garden and digging up my kale,,gonna put that sprinkler to work tomorrow.

I did say I put her in a dog crate lol but if the back door was left ajar they would all come in. I put a special bowl of water and a tiny super snack bowl out on the deck and have had to remove any plant in a planter lol as they dust bath in them lol delightful creatures

Ours were all raised inside until they feathered out. The first 5 that are 6 months old now would walk in anytime the door is open but the younger ones probable wouldnt as they werent held as much when they were younger. The older ones were babies when the asian beetles came out after the cold and we fed them asian beetles by hand non stop. Luckily we have a cement floor so the droppings were easy to clean up. Our fiest egg was on fathers day and was laid on our couch while my oldest daughter was holding one of them.
