These are my 4 new Buff Orpington pullets. They are the SWEETEST things! The guy at our local chicken, feed, and supply store told us how old they were. We forgot though. We think he said either 3 weeks or 1 week. By looking at them how old do you think they are? Also he said we do not need the reflector and red light bulb. So I would like to know if we should get that and if they should be kept in our enclosed porch or inside?

P.S they have been vaccinated and sexed so I definitely have pullets

Very cute chicks!

They look closer to 1 week old to me. I'm not sure what your temps are (also think at night time too when the sun goes down). But a good general rule is about 90*F for your 1 week old chicks. Decrease 5* every week. For example: 2 weeks old- 85*, 3 weeks old-80* and so on. Your chicks will tell you if they are cold or too hot. Too hot= chicks scattered far away from each other, Too cold= chicks huddled together, Just right= chicks all around the brooder, eating, drinking, sleeping, and just being a chick.

Good luck with them.
