I moved everyone into a big pen down in the basment out of their Rubbermaid brooders until they are ready to go outside, and the poor little Old English Game Bantam chicks were crying for hours. I hadnt heard them in a while, so I went to check on them and this is what I found. My Barred Rock Cockerels are brooding my OEGB chicks. LOL. At least I think that they are cockerels, they have bigger white bars and bigger, pinker combs than the other two barred rocks. But either way, it is cute.

i have a 5 week old mystery banty and a 3 week turken and 3 week old polish that do the same thing with my new week old chicks and even a few of the 3 week old teeny banty will snuggle up under them it's so cute

That's adorable! I keep a close eye on them but my 4 week old red stars will hold day old chicks in their wings and sit on them. They seem really maternal really young. I don't keep the little in there alone with them, though, just in case they go pecky on me. lol

that is too sweet! Could turn out to be a pullet but I've heard some breeds have very good fathers
