This is a 4x6 coop. Any ideas will be welcome. My entry door will be on the right side, chicken door on front right, should I put my roost on the 6 ft back wall or my nest boxes. The left 4 ft wall will be for the other. Underneath my roost I will be adding a exterior entry slot for a poop tray exit. Lmk what u guysthink

Looks pretty good. My only comments:

Make sure it is anchored down well for hurricanes and those afternoon thunderstorms off the gulf.

Put the nests on the north or east sides. You don’t want them becoming ovens in that sun you get down there. If that is the high side, you might consider putting your roosts over your nests and build a droppings board over the nests.

I’ve missed “The Boiling Point” since I moved. Good mudbugs. That was always lunch when I was in the area.

Ok so I put my nest boxes on the west side. Should I move my roost or leave them so theres more floor space? I want to put a poop tray but do u think it will be too close to my nest boxes? If its too low will the chickens not go in the nest?

It looks ok but I would definitely go with the poop board so they don't have to walk through the poop on the floor on the way to the boxes, might get unwanted poop in the boxes which will lead to dirty eggs.

Will it be too low to the boxes? Its gunna look like a hall way kinda. I dont want them to be scared to go in the boxes

You might want to raise the roost up a bit so the board isn't to low,it only has to be a couple of inches below the lowest roost, you will be surprised how small of a space a chicken will fit into, looks like you have enough head room to lift them up a bit.

Yea I do but dont wanna go too high im goint to put screen on the south and east side and some vents on the north and west side. I figure the vent wont let drafts through but keep vented and the screen on the far side of the roost will provide air circulation.
