My coop to be!!!

I am moving at the end of the month and My chickens are moving in a garden shed,

I am going to do some work on it but I will take a before and after picture for all to see what i will do,


I will tell you what Im doing first,

1) I will make the runway There is a start of a fence there (Like one side).

2) I will take the sand out of there

3) I will make nest boxes to put in there,

4) I will put sand in there for the bedding,

5) I will put a hole in the side of a wall so the chicken can get out,


now here comes The Q,

Should I put straw or hay in the nest boxes?

I would put straw ,they might eat the hey:cd

They eat straw too. I'm having to switch to pine shavings because my chickens eat the straw in the coop.
