My cukes are pointy on the end... is that normal? (see picture)

I am growing the regular garden cuke (dark green)... It is my 1rst cuke plant.

The cukes are about 4 inches long and all seem to fill up from top to bottom but the bottom does not seem rounded as i have seen in pics.... will they fill up and become rounded?


I'd like to pick up early meaning I won't probably let them grom more than 7 inches... is pointiness a sign of unripeness?

When they are ripe they will be full from top to bottom. this cuke looks like it had another day maybe two to be fully ripe.

Hey thanks... I never got to see this message We discovered my soil was lacking nitrogen and that was causing this shape on my cukes.
