My DH's smart aleck remark

We have hung two heat lamps about 2 ft. apart, over the hanging waterer inside the chicken house. It was about 20 degrees here last night, I worry about frozen combs.

Yesterday I bought a thermometer for the inside of the chicken house. So when he went down to change the water, feed them etc. this am I asked him for a temperature reading in the chicken house.

His reply upon returning to our house and reporting to me, Flock Mistress:

41 degrees inside the chicken house, all the hens in bikini's, the roo in a speedo. All have on their sunglasses.
