I Have This Dream To Have a Hatchery In The Future But No One Beliefs In It I Want To Sell baby chicks Like Ideal Poultry or Mcmurray Hatchery But My Family Doesn't Belief I Can Make It I am So Sad Cause I Don't Want To Give Up On My Dream To have a Big Company One Day My Parents and My Older Brother Say:
That There's No Way I can Have a Company When My Hens are Not Laying I Bet They Said The Same Thing To Ideal Poultry or To Mcmurray But Look at Them Now They are Big It Just Makes Me Sad To Know That My Own Family Doesn't Support My Dream My Vision I Had a Dream Once That I Lived In a Big Ranch With a Lot of Chickens In It Why Do people Have to Be Dream Crushers Sometime Why Do People Don't Belief In Your Dreams? If Any Of You Have The Same Problem I Say Go For It People Will Always Judge and Try To Keep Your Dreams Dead But You Can Do It They Probably Didn't Belief Ideal Poultry Could Make It They Probably Didn't Belief That all The Big Companies Couldn't Make it If You have a Dream Go For It Who Knows Maybe Tomorrow You might Have a Big Company

Malcolm X once said "If you have no critics, you'll likely have no success". If you have something worth dreaming about, people will criticize. Just remember, the best dreams are worth failing over. In other words, if a dream is worth pursuing, don't be afraid to fail. It is worth it at least to try. That way you don't look back and wish you had tried but never did.

Yeah Thanks For Your Words it Helps Cheer Me Up and It's True I Will Try Harder

You will always have opposition in your life. The key is to take in it stride. If people are willing to give you constructive criticism then I would advise to take the time to hear them out. If all they are going to do is tell you that you can't do it then move on. I guarantee every single successful person in this world has had to deal with people who said they couldn't do it. If they gave in to the negativity the world would be a very different world. If you are seriously interested in starting a hatchery I would take some business courses and poultry science classes. It would give you even more information that would be beneficial to your dream.

Dreams tempered with reality and common sense are the key to success. Get an education and establish an income to support your dreams.

I agree with Sourland. It's great to have dreams, but youalso needs to take the right steps towards achieving those goals. I'm not sure what grade you are in now, but look into college programs geared towards business and animal science. At least that will give you a starting point. Also, don't forget that most great business owners struggle to be successful. Owning a business is a lot of hard work and takes yearsand a lot of money to establish.

Don't let other bring you down, but also do your research and start taking realistic steps towards achieving your goal. Best of luck!

I'm with the above 2 posters but would also encourage you to contact a hatchery and see if you could intern over the summer some time.
You also need to stop with the random capitalization. It makes me want to strangle you!

Anyway, I worked toward being a veterinarian since I was 6 years old. At 20 I had to face the facts, I faint when I see a catheter. I can't be a vet. It was depressing but I got over it.

My advice to you is this. Forget about creating a big hatchery and concentrate on a better hatchery. Say to yourself my hatchery is going to be better, more efficient, produce a higher quality product, have a better customer services department, be better value for money than any of my competitors. I will operate my business to the highest standards and the welfare of my birds will be my selling point over my competitors. You can start this now on a small scale by making sure that your birds are recieving the best diet and have super clean housing, as well as sufficient and secure outdoor space. Now you can advertise ''my birds are happy and healthy'. People want to know that they are buying from an ethical source where the welfare of the animal comes first. Reputation is what will grow your business, because of demand for your product. Forget big concentrate on best! Good luck

Me too.. I honestly, couldn't read your post all the way through.

I think you got some really great advice!

Most families won't support a dream that they think will be a dirty job, that may not make you much money. I don't think they are trying to be mean, or not support you.. they just really want you to be successful... sometimes adults see a bigger picture than we do when we're young. Sometimes their idea of successful is different than yours. If you want to prove them wrong..... Get a good education. Get a college degree in business management and animal husbandry... and do a lot of research! Some things you can do now. Pick a breed of chicken you love, learn the standards, and try to breed them to perfection. This takes time and you will gain valuable experience. Then expand from there!

Dream big -- but also follow the wise advice here and work hard to learn all you can ----
and sometimes families can seem discouraging if they are trying to protect you from disappointment ---
Dreams take work and rarely happen overnight!
Keep on 'keeping on' -- :)
