My duck ate a whole cherry tomato

Hi my duck ate a whole cherry tomato and now she is making a different sounding quack than she usually does. She is not having any trouble breathing and still has her apitate.she dosent seem to have any bulges in her throat so I gave her some grit and eggshell but it hasn't changed what should I do?

If nothing else is affected I would wait and see if nature takes it course.

She probably feels like most of us do after Christmas Dinner (Wish I hadn't had that last roastie etc etc)

If you're worried, you could give her some coconut oil. If something is stuck in her throat, then it would help to loosen it.

She may have just irritated her “voice box” (think it’s a syrinx in birds?) with the size of the tomato passing by. You said you don’t feel an obstruction so personally I would monitor for now and make sure she’s still eating and drinking normally. Ensure she has access to grit too, like you’re doing.

Thank you all for your help will monitor her for now and if Ithe don't get better by the morning I'll give her some oil. Is olive oil okay I don't have coconut oil

Putting oil down the throat of poultry can cause aspiration unless you know what you doing . @Theoverthinker
