my duck has an eye problem!!!

my 7 week old pekin will not open her eye for very long. she wouldn’t open it at all so i caught her and managed to get what I think was a down feather out of her eye. she’s opening it a little more now and acting pretty much the same as normal, her quack sounds a little bit odd but she’s just starting to quack so it never sounds the same as the day before. I am keeping a close eye on her but she is in with the other 3 because I don’t have the heart to separate her. I think it is just a scratch to the eye and nothing contagious so I am not TOO TOO worried. It just closed up today and I’m not sure what to do, called at vet they cannot get her in until october. i REALLY need some help I don’t know how to help her.

Could you get a up-close eye picture?

How does the other eye look?

I'd start by flushing the eye with some saline, wipe off any gunk with a damp towel, then apply either an antibacterial ointment like Neosporin or an ophthalmic gel like Terramycin
