My Duck is turning gray???

Hey Everyone! Wondering if anyone knows what is up with my Duck. I have two female mallards and one of them recently has started to develope these really short grey feathers on her breast and under one of her wings. Also I have noticed a few of her feathers on her wings starting to fall out. I am not really sure what is happening or if this is normal with these ducks. If anyone has any insight please let me know. The second has not started doing this and both are behaving properly. They are about 4 months old and are still on chick feed. Thanks!

I added the pic to the original post. I did look and noticed the duck has a few green feathers coming in on its head...

It's a drake molting from juvenile to first alternate plumage.

I think you have a male. He is molting into his adult feathers.
