So I've had this hen for a few months now. She's supposedly a blue Swedish according to the lady I bought her from but I'm not sure. She's either one or three the lady didn't know what batch she came from. The duck's name is Lucy.
Lucy sticks out a bit from the other ducks in my flock. She's bullied quite a bit by my other
hen so she's a pretty nervous girl. She recently started laying "rubber eggs' which I thought was probably calcium deficiency so we've been adding egg shells to her feed. She also enjoys sitting on the duck deck and dangling her head over the side. Whenever she does this she throws up. She repeats this behavior at least once every day but she stops when we catch her doing it so its difficult to get on video. I will post one as soon as I can.
Anyone have any thoughts on the weird behavior?
Feel free to ask additional questions for clarification.

I can help with the rubber eggs part of your problem. First of all, get some oyster shells and put in in a separate little bowl and she will eat it as she needs it. I took a medium size soda bottle, cut it in 1/2, drilled holes in the bottom for drainage and wired it right to my fence so it won't get tipped over continually. It works great! They instinctively know when they need it and will eat as much as they need.

Second, go to Walmart and pick up a bottle of calcium citrate pills 600mg with D3 (or without if they don't have that). I take a hammer and smash them up and sprinkle it on treats like tomato or melons so that I'm sure they will eat all of it.

On the head dangling thing, I have no clue!

Ducks sometimes react to changes [they don't like?] in weird ways. You said that Lucy is harassed by you other ducks, that might be the reason for this strange behavior. (I did not even know that ducks can puke!)
My drake Limpy developed a weir tick a while ago: Every morning when i released the ducks from their house, he walked a few steps out, then sat down and scratched his head while being trampled by the other ducks hurrying to the patio to receive their morning meal-worms. I now believe that was due to the fact that the new drakeling Erpelchen was turning into a Drake and became a competitor. Since Limpy was able to prove his position as Boss-Drake he stopped the head-scratching. - It is just an observation and i have not found any parasites, inflammation, not even red skin on his head, so i assume it was a replacement-behavior.
Is Lucy a skiddish duck or would she enjoy some additional attention by you? It may help if you just sit down close to her, talk to her in a calm way and maybe sneak some treat into her bill…

That sounds like it might be exactly what’s happening! She doesn’t appear to have anything wrong either it’s just a really weird repeated behavior. We’re working on getting her more adjusted to people and the other ducks so maybe once she gets more used to being in the flock she’ll stop. I’ll still try to post a video for anyone who is interested.

I wanna see the duck puke.
