my ducklings like to play in their water and i know that it’s normal but for some reason a few of the little guys’ feathers look wet? are they supposed to do this? any tips on what to do if they aren’t supposed to look wet or damp?

:welcome Ducklings are not born with 'water proofing'. With a mother they pick up oils from her feathers and are able to handle water. Hand raised ducklings can easily get chilled and die when wet. It is recommended to not let them get wet until they start feathering in. Hopefully they are okay.

typically they jump into their water so should i switch to something they can’t jump or play in? like a waterer? ( im not sure what it’s called )

Maybe if they look to wet just put them under a heat lamp or get a towel dry them off. Maybe you should make a schedule for when they can swim or not . How old are they.
