My ducks egg is about to hatch

Will mama duck sit on the egg as it is hatching? She keeps popping her head up and down How does it not get shrinkwrapped?

She did well. I was amazed to see that birds keep the air cell down so even if they get off the egg, it stays just right! Mama Sonia stepped on Baby Latte and broke her leg. I set it and put a cast on it. I had to do again 3 days ago because she is growing so fast! It's perfect. The vet said leave on 3 weeks. She walks and runs now!
