My Ducks Playing In Water For The First Time!! Cute Pics

I gave my ducks a little tub of water to play in yesterday. this is their first encounter with water other than n the waterer. They had so much fun! We have a bigger pool for when they get older but the area it is in isn't finished yet so they can't go in it. They are about 5 weeks old now. Hope you enjoy!

In this pic you can see the pool, but they can't get to it yet

This is my Pekin Duck, Puff, in the tub of water, he got in and stayed in for about 5 minutes just splashing around. Mr. Quackers is they other duck behind Puff

Here is a group pic of them all around the water. the chicks weren't very interested in it.

Very cute! Do, though, be careful with the pool and the chickens! I had a pool for my ducks in my chicken pen, and lost about 3 chickens in it.

They can't get out, and drown.

OMG, I freaked out for a minute, I thought the chicken in the last picture was missing it's top half

LOL, then I realized it was just bent down funny. Whew

lol i thought the same thing when i looked at the pic! I watch them most of the time and they havnt tried to get in yet. i was holding one of my adult chickens yesterday and he decided he didnt want to be held anymore so he jumped out of my arms and ended up flying right into the pool in the first pic lol. he was angry at me and acted like it was my fault the rest of the day lol.
