I am sooo excited!! My EE who lays whitish/pink eggs has went broody! The minute she went broody, I posted a CL add for anyone with green/blue fertile eggs for hatching....and for 4 egg cartons per egg I got 'em!! I'm so excited! I pick them up tomorrow. I transferred my broody girl to a suitable housing environment tonight with the help of my husband and am so excited...this is my 1st broody girl....I can hardly wait.

Here she is before I moved her to solitary confinement...

Thanks goes to those who helped me figure out how to move her and her clutch of 9 eggs.

Because she was in this tire and quite reluctant to move. I'll post pics of her in her new environment once I know she's still sitting on the eggs and liking her new "home". Her hatch date between the eggs she already has and the eggs I'll get tomorrow morning will be March 10 and March 12. Does anyone see a problem with the difference in hatch dates?? If chicks hatch on March 10 do you think she'll sit on those other eggs til they hatch???

Thanks so much!

She will continue to sit until she feels that she is done. If you want to try to insure that she stays you could take the chicks that hatch on the 10th and 11th then give them back on the 12th when the others start to hatch. Just keep an eye on her to make sure she will except them back. Night time helps sometimes.
