I am incubating my very first goose eggs, and this afternoon when I went to turn the eggs, a couple of them started rocking like crazy! I did a double take and waited and watched, and they did it again, and then again! If I'm following the directions right, then they should hatch anywhere from the 1st to the 10th, because don't they hatch between day 26 and day 35 generally? Is rocking normal this early on? I candled them and while I can't see through some of them no matter how hard I try, some of them I can see into, and they appear to be almost completely filled. One I think is empty. Is this normal for goose eggs? I'm so excited, I hope they hatch!!! They are Chinese geese, and I can't wait to see if they hatch!!!

All my geese hatched on Day 30 with the exception of one that hatched on Day 31. I watched mine rocking and rolling for while. I would lock down on Day 27 and not open up the incubator again. Get your humidity in order and lock that sucker down! You should have some goslings in a few days!

Good luck! And remember, we require pictures!

I hatch with my humidity between 80 and 85%. I've heard others do it lower but I had perfect hatches and only had to help one gosling out that had his head stuck under his leg. Otherwise all goslings hatched on their own with no problems!

Good luck hun! I know its exciting!
