My eggs feels colder regardless of what my thermometer says, is this normal?

I am at day 6 and the embryo/heart has developed a lot. I can clearly see more veins and perhaps an eye if I'm not mistaken, its a dark spot. The temperature is quite cold outside. My thermometer says that the temperature is 100 degrees but the eggs feels colder then it should. Should I move them regardless of what the thermometer says? Its a still aired incubator aNd there's some places that is hot in the bator and some cold. I move the thermometer very near the eggs so that it touches the eggs

In a still air incubator, take the temperature at the top of the eggs. Your goal is 101.5 degrees if the temperature is taken at the top of the eggs.

Have you calibrated your thermometer? Some thermometers like the medical ones you take your temperature with are calibrated but most are not. Due to manufacturing tolerances it's not unusual for them to be off several degrees. I was looking at some thermometers at Tractor Supply yesterday marked as Brooder thermometers. The average was about 70 degrees, but I saw one reading as low as 67 and another as high as 75. Those were fro the brooder, not the incubator and were probably close enough for that purpose, but certainly not for an incubator.

Thanks for the tips. Will take temp at the top. I usually take it at the bottom and the embryo develops accordingly. Ill take you're tip thanks!!!
