How far along in the incubation period were they when mom died and how long has the egg been pipped?

The mom died day three and about 24 hours ago it piped
So this may sound weird, but, if you can, play this near the bator and see if you get any reaction from the chick:

With the delayed development it' possible that the chick was just to weak to finish the job and died after pip. Usually the sound of the chick video will motivate them and when you play it you see movement at the pip.

I personally don't let a pip go over 24 hours w/o taking it out and checking on it by removing the bumped up shell and slightly widening the hole. If it's still alive you can start an assist if you are comfortable with that. (I am more than willing to help if you need it.) If it's too late then you know and you aren't waiting for progress that never comes.

UPDATE I noticed it internaly piped the wrong end of the egg know I dont know if I should help it or not

Should I assist or should I let it take its course also I candeld and it's not looking like it's that big

Externally pipped. There is no internal pip in a malepositioned pointy egg pip.

If this is the pipper that has been over 24 hours, I would start an assist (I recommend reading the step by step guide to assisted hatching here on BYC if you haven't yet.) There's a good chance you'll only be able to do a little before having to stop because of veining, but at least it will allow you to evaluate and get things started.

Should I help on the end it piped or the end whith the air sack
