I was going to buy a bunch of pullets to raise over the winter so that I would have a bunch of laying hens for spring. Then if course I thought daaa, I can hatch my own eggs. I have a wonderful and colorful bunch of hens along with a BO roo and a wondrful Americana roo. There is also a barred Cochin banty roo but I dont think he get a lot of action. Needless to say I figured that I would set the largest eggs that I get so that the babies would be large and healthy. I have a turner that I figured I would used this time and only have 43 cup for it and that is a good thing. I went to set my eggs and had to do a bunch of moving to get everyone to fit. Some eggs are so big they barely fit in the cups..lol I truely didnt think that I would have that much of a problem. I am happy to say that I did get them all in and everything is going great for the first couple days. I cant wait to see how the hatch goes and I watch dirty jobs the other night when they had the chick sexing on and I might even try to sex a few to see how I do. Hopefully most will be hens so that I dont have to hatch a second batch. We will see in another 19 days.. Jenn
