My "Emu" made weird sounds today.

Emu is a 4 month old Barred-rock Roo. He lives in a 10x10 open air coop with his 3 girls, 2 dominiques and a black Jersey. While I was hand feeding clover this evening, I heard a strange muddled " buk.....buk.....buk...." It was similar to hen-speak except it sounded subdued. What was Emu trying to say? After I was walking away, he mounted one of his girls.

Hmmm, I wasn't sure he liked me....lol. Maybe it's the treats he loves so much. Not sure because he definitely doesn't like my 15 yr old daughter.
