Ok so I have 5 backyard chickens they are a year old. Well my question is how do i keep one of them in their run? Somehow one of my silly girls has decided she doesn't want to be with her sisters...

i looked in the run and the hen house to see if there is a way she is getting out but i don't see one. any ideas would be great. And she is not being picked on they all get along just fine. they were raised together. thanks for the help.

How high is your fence? Are her wings clipped? Can she sort of scoot out from under the fence or through a small gap, or get up on top of a structure or something and leap over?

there is a top on the whole thing and the walls are about 6 feet high and from what i can see she can't get under the wire fence. But no the wings are not clipped.

Walk around the fence pushing at the wire where it is attached to the coop, and poles, and along the bottom. Sometimes they learn how to push against the wire and make whole that close behind them

my husband figured it out she was being sneaky and digging in a corner that wasn't real viable to us. so we had to make the wire go down farther and then added dirt.

so hopefully that will work.
