I think I see two roos and three hens. They are about 7 weeks old. Having a hard time distinguishing pointed feathers from non-pointed feathers. Thoughts? These are supposedly EEs.

Thank you!

Kathy

I agree on 2 boys and 3 girls. It is early for the pointy feathers yet, start looking for them in 12 or older.

And which do you think are the two boys?

<I hope I'm right!>

When do they start crowing? I can't remember, it's been a few years since I've had chicks.

For now I'd say at least pics 2 and 3 are roos.

Edit: Look for thick legs and large, red combs for now.

The pic of #4 isn't very good because I'm sure he's a rooster, he's the largest, with thick legs and what I call 'eyebrows', that only two others have. But then I can't tell if it's the breed or the gender because the "hens" have clean areas around their eyes and the "roosters" have feathers coming over the tops. As for combs, they're all over the place, different sizes and colors. I'm going to be so sad if #2 is a roo, s/he's my favorite. But my urban neighbors sure don't like crowing. :-(

Thanks for the input!
