My favorite jewerly store to close...

Local jewerly store in town getting ready to close the doors
after sixty five years. He's been a good friend for many years.

He called, we spoke on the phone. Hate to see him close.

I've spent literally thousands of dollars in his store through the
years. Way back when I was a young man, still in high school,
this man took a chance on me. He gave me credit on my word
alone. Nothing signed, just my word that I would pay him back
that summer as I could.

I've come a long way since then. But I've always remembered
that chance he took on me. I've been a faithful customer my whole
adult life.

I'm going to miss that place.

Sadly, those type of individually owned "mom and pop" stores are all falling by the wayside. Americans would rather buy from the large chains than support their locally owned stores.

So many small time stores are closing down..
