My Female Duck. I need advice.

My female duck has been trouble passing eggs, she passes them but she has difficulty. We have been given her oyster shells for 1 week or more to see if that helped. Apparently it hasn't because she is still having difficulty. She pants really quickly too. Whats wrong with her? Is there anything else we can try?

Giving oyster shells is "iffy" in this situation. It could be making the eggs too hard and even more difficult, but not enough calcium can make a weak egg that can break inside and kill her. We only give oyster shells 1 time a week. Ducks are not like humans and (from what i was told) dont need and shouldnt have vitamins too often. It is possiable to have too much vitamins. I dont know a whole lot about what else to say. I just thought id let you know to be careful with vitamins.
