My head female duck likes to talk to me, she always lowers her body until I pet her, then she’ll get up after a couple seconds of my petting her and quack like she is laughing. She always does this when seeing me. I’m not sure if this is normal or a bag sign. My mom doesn’t think it’s a bad sign but she’s never had a duck that’s shown this behavior (she thinks it’s because my ducks are happy to see me). She will also look at me then the ground repeatedly in a head nodding movement. I’m not sure to be concerned, she just started to do this recently. I’ve never seen her do this and I’ve had her since she hatched. My 4 other ducks don’t do this.

Head bobbing is known to be a submissive behavior. Their way to tell the males it's OK to make babies.

She loves you kiddo! Your a lucky girl to have your duck buddies love you back, sometimes they don’t always show their appreciation for their people.
Ain't that the truth. My ducks loved me as babies. Now they won't come within more then a few feet of me XD. Their still my lovely feather babies though XD
