My first 3 Chicks i hatched

Well my first attempt at hatching eggs i had 3 hatch and they are 2 1/2 weeks old now so i took some new pics to share. The barred rock eggs i got from a friend and only one hatched and the 2 RIR's are from my small flock. Let me know what you think.

Is it totally improper to say the hatcher looks to be as cute as the hatchees

Where did your parent birds come from?

From a lady down the road, she has a flock 20 or 30 Heritage RIR. I asked her where she got her first birds and all she could remember was out of OK and IA is where she got the first 20 birds and that was almost 15 years ago she said.

Beautiful babies. Are you sure the two are RIR's? I have RIR's. I think thoses look more like Red Stars by the feather coloring. There are pictures of mine on my BYC Page.

they're RIR, just with the production coloring, not the mahogany coloring.

the females will pump out huge eggs.

the BR is a cutey patootie!
