YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!
I am so happy at the moment.
On the 25th of Januray I started to incubate my very first batch of 16 eggs in my very first incubator. 3 long weeks later my first chicken hatched, the night before hatch day. 6 hatched on Valentines' Day, then 2 the next day. 3 were not fertilised, 1 died during hatching, and the last 3 died a few days before hatching.
So I ened up with 9/16 chickens and I am so proud of my brood, for my first time.
They are only a mix of layers from home, I wanted to learn about my incubator before I order the eggs I really wont to hatch.
Now they are in the brooder and running around like happy larry's.
Is there any issues during the first few weeks that I should be watching out for?
