First it was blondie - my Mille Fleur bantam but we weren't ready for that in March so we isolated her in mesh floor pen and she's no longer broody. Then it was Tiny our curious little Sebright. So, I got her a mixed batch of fertilized eggs on April 18. Just this week, our Barred Rock, Big Mama, went broody. So in the final week, Tiny struggles to get at least one egg to sit on while Big Mama hogs the rest. While Tiny never pulled out any feathers, Big Mama is doing some serious nesting. I hope a one week sit and hatching will do it for her as there are not any fertilized eggs in our future for a while. But we keep joking that Big Mama will say, Geez Tiny, took you 3 weeks to do what I did in 1 week!

I can't wait to see what hatches. Golden laced bantams, silkies, serama, ameracauna and australorp eggs!!!
