When I was a child my mother came in from the yard and said, There is a big red chicken walking up the street and since we lived in the city and teased her about drinking which she very rarely of. Then my father came home and said there is a big red chicken (a Rhode Red) sitting on the steps of the Nurse's home. I started to tease him but then I thought there is not way they could have talked to each other during the stone age so I went to check out their chicken story and there was a big red chicken sitting on the steps. I chased that chicken all over the area and finally caught it and brought it home. She became a wonderful pet and she loved my German Shepard so they became close friends. The two of them caused a lot of car accidents when my chicken road on the back of my dog flapping her wings as they ran all over. When my father could get away from work they stayed home but when he did not pick me up the would go to the corner and wait for me to walk me home. I named her Henrietta Clunk and now I have a 3 year old Henrietta Cluck ,II and 7 more as pets.
