my first coop 4 pics

just started keeping chickens the coop i've built is 6 foot long .4 foot wide 4 foot high i've got 41/2 foot of perch. five nest boxes is this too many . thinking of getting rid of the 2 at the top left. puting perch all along the 3 nest boxes at the bottom right i've coverd the front got food and water inside is this ok for six hens.all advice welcomed and apereciated thanks.

Good job! And yes, you're right....you won't need that many nest boxes for a coop that size. They will share. So might as well use the extra space for something else...

That looks a great coup.

I just stayed keeping chickens i havent a pic but converted an old shed with a run and got my first two eggs yesterday only had the chickens a day!

Considering whether to let the chickens run around my back yard as its walled but worried about foxes getting over the wall so they have a good sized run at the moment. kx
