My first ever chickens!

My chickens arrived. Picked them up at the post office this morning. They are 6 week old pullets. Silkie/ Easter Egger cross. So far they just seem kind of clueless. Poor babies. I just went out & put them in the Eglu cube & shut the door. They weren’t to happy about it. I had to catch them which isn’t easy when you are on your hands & knees, lol. Anyway hoping we get more comfortable with each other in the next few days.

Good luck with them. What are the dimensions on the holes in that fencing? I'd be concerned that a weasel might be able to get at them if it's too large.

It’s an Omelet Eglu. Openings are small, we have a 5 ft solid vinyl privacy fence & our dog has access to yard thru dog door 24/7. She is a terrier & guards her yard. Sparrows etc cannot get thru the holes in the run.
