They are the NOISIEST chicks I have ever hatched! They stand in a circle and peck each other's faces, too.

they will peck eachother sometimes if stressed i have heard do you have a red lamp on them? or a normal bulb that sometimes makes a difference I have heard. (thats why most heat lamp bulbs are red)​

Thanks, Millerydchx, but they're not doing any damage! They're just pecking at each other's egg tooth. This morning, the two silkies were in one corner of the brooder whispering and eyeballing the three cochins, who were in the opposite corner of the brooder, whispering and eyeballing the silkies! I just thought it was quirky that they were all standing in a circle facing each other pecking each others' beaks.
