I have never had luck moving a hen to a more 'perfect' nest. Her idea and mine do not match. I let them set where they want to set.
If you have waited a week, and she is still setting, I would expect her to be fine. I too, am comfortable with the idea that not every egg will hatch. And I would much rather have a broody hen raise them.
