I have one blue and one black copper marans. They are 18 weeks old today. The egg on the left was layed yesterday, the one on the right, today. Do you think they are from the same chicken, or do you think they are both laying? The second egg is a different color, and slightly larger, but I think I read that they will start out small and gradually get larger, when they first start to lay. (???) Also, do the marans eggs get darker as they progress, or lighter? I cant remember how that works. I was pretty impressed with the color of my first egg!
