My first Welsummer egg!

I love my Welsummers. I look forward to gathering eggs because I never know what color they are going to be. Some lay a very dark terra cotta with light speckles and others lay a light brown egg with very large very dark speckles. My welsummers are also my quietest hens.

Eggs, Eggs, Eggs, the prettier, spottier or brown, the better! Thats a really nice one! It's so exciting waiting to see if the Wellies are gonna lay those terra cotta eggs, and compete with the Marans! (Cause ya know I only have those Cuckoos so far!
