Hello, fellow Poultry Enthusiasts! I'm so happy with my 5 new ducklings that I just wanted to share some video and photos with you! I have five female Golden Hybrid 300 ducklings that will be added to my current mixed flock once they're old enough.
Here are a couple of videos I took of the ducklings last night:
Ducks munching lettuce out of my hand and then crazily cleaning out the pyrex bowl I had it in:
Duckling peekaboo. SO CUTE!:

I believe they hatched on/about April 13, so they are approaching the 4 week mark. Currently I have them housed in an inflatable pool in my screened in porch, so they get to be outside (still with a heat lamp over part of their pen for those cold nights!), but this way they are secure from predators. Once they feather out a little more, they'll be moved to the outdoor nursery pen near my adult ducks so everyone can get to know each other until they're old enough to run with the big guys!
