Who has the oldest before laying hen out there?....maybe my Diva is going for the record
Let`s see who holds it for now.......

I feel your pain. But one of my 25 week old chicken layed an egg yesterday. So you better get ready . Good luck & keep checking.

I'm right there with you. I'm not positive on the age of my hens, but they are big and fat and their combs have finally turned red and no eggs. My family already thinks I'm the crazy chicken lady. And now I'm the crazy chicken lady with no eggs.

I have 2 BLRW pullets that are 26 weeks, with no eggs yet, but luckily, 3 of my other chickens are laying ( 2 EE's and one New Hampshire). Hang in there!

I have 4 chickens (EE) who are 23 weeks and no eggs yet. I also have a SLW that's around 24 weeks and no eggs.

Maybe this will jinx me and one (or more) will start today.

I have 8 that are laying age. 7 of them are laying including 1 EE. But we have 1 EE hold out. She'll be 28 wks this week...no egg.

Stubborn chickens! LOL

I think mine would lay today if they knew that the only thing I like better than fresh eggs is fried chicken.

Our four chickens are about 26 weeks old and only one is laying...she started 4 weeks ago. Apparently no one else is in any big rush to lay an egg. I guess I figured that once one of the chickens started laying, the others would kick in within a week or two. I was wrong!
