My gals have to lay one day...how bout a little contest while waiting?

My Rhode Island Reds are 23 weeks old. out of the 7.. I have one thats been laying for a week and another just laid her first egg today!!
I also have Buff Orpingtons that are 19 weeks old. no eggs yet

I have been waiting here very impatiently also!!! I have 2 hens 1 1/2 yrs old. One is laying and the other is broody, 2 Orps @ 21 & 25 weeks, and twenty one 18 week olds, EE's, white rocks, white & brown leghorns, wellsummers & Naked Necks and only the 1 1/2 year old silkie is laying out of all these girls!!!!!! I do check everyday for something other than the lone silkie egg!

Americaunas, Salmon Faverolles, Cochins are all at 26 weeks and still waiting here.

One of my RIR's waited until she was 23 weeks! She was about ready for the stew pot. I don't have alot of patience, but these hens sure do teach you THAT!

Our 4 EE, 2 Welsummer, and 2 NHs are now 24 weeks old and no eggs yet. <sigh>

Mine are 25 weeks today...and no eggs yet...but I'm sure its going to be soonee

My White Leghorns are 24 or 25 weeks old, nice red combs and not laying yet. I also have a RIR that is about 20 weeks and an Ameraucana or EE at about 18 weeks. Not an egg in sight, but the golf ball is ready and waiting in their nest!
