Hey Y’all. So my girl Phoenix (female Ringneck) has laid 40 eggs since the beginning of June. Is this a normal thing for them to do.? I collect her eggs daily so I can incubate them I thought maybe that’s why she keeps laying. But I have also not collected for a number of days to see if she’d stop but she just keeps going lol. And one day she laid a massive egg it weighed in at 46 grams. I don’t know how she passed it, it was huge compared to her normal sized eggs. So I guess I’m asking if she will just stop laying one day or should I do something to get her to stop ?

She will quit when she starts to molt. It's not unusual for them to lay between 25 to 50 eggs during breeding season.

That makes me feel better knowing she will stop lol. What about that egg she laid. The massive one ?

They will sometimes do that...could be a double yolk egg? It's not anything to be concerned about.
