I was bummed because most of the eggs weren't fertile (I got the eggs from the start of the season lol).

However, if all the pipped ones hatchI think there are about 6 total maybe 7 oh i forget

Atleast oneI can see looks likeit has verydark down in the shell so i'm thinking it's going to possibly be more solid red, maybea red tux? Unsure though we'll see!

I hope i get atleast one tux but If I don't I can always breed for it withwhat I get now.

That's the beauty of these fast maturers.

This is my first ever Red Golden chick next to my first *bred here* golden chick, whos daddy is the gorgeous Jumbo golden Hawn. The hen I know for sure as well but she doesn't have a name lol. The Golden I named Dot for the very distinct dot on it's face (i know this may go away but that's it's name lol),and I named the Red Golden a long name but it's after a very gorgeous flower I love "Indians Paintbrush" LOL. *when im not lazy...which is rare

I do watermarking cuz it's cute lol* Oh and if anyone is wondering yes I know the butterfly is spelled with an "h" at the end. I spell my sn on purpose wrong because I hate the "h" one of my OCD quirks i guess

Also, another egg from Hawn was a double yolker andI had no idea (it looked like a normal jumbo egg to me) theone was DOA the other is out but only 75% of the yolk absorbed so i dont expect it to make it.

Almost look like a DARK Cinnamon/Ginger Niki! I really cannot wait to swap you for some of these. I have plenty of the other colorations...you just let me know what you need lol.
I have another big hatch of Tibettans, Tuxedos, A&Ms, and Goldens hatching here in 2-3 weeks!
Good Luck with the rest of the hatch!

from what I looked at on the tiny picture they SHOULD almost look like a red velvet chocolate color. But this one in question like Sam pointed out doesnt look like it's going tobe solid...so it may actually turn out to be more of a red cinnamon or something crazy like that lol!!!

Almost all the others are hatched but are still wet. ONE may actually be a very solid red...it looks it right now but it isnt fluffed yet so all i can do is wait...another my ONLY tuxedo it looks like (and not marked nicely but that can be worked on), also looks like it's goin got be what I paid for so that'd be nice. I also got two normal goldens, but hopefully that means they carry the red gene... will be a project for me obviously and one that almost looks like a normal brown... have to wait to see what it colors out to. For as much as i paid for these cuties, I'm KIND of disapointed but then again, atleast I have SOME that look like they are what I paid for...some is better than none!

Ok Niki when do I get to set my order lol you keep coming up with new babies and new colors I'll never be able to chose.

Oh by the way I'm going the NY to visit my family June 5th - 12 so I won't be able to order until after that unless the red and red tux is going to be old enough in early May(which I know they won't be) is this ok with you? I know it's along time off, but you already have my money so I was hoping you don't mind.

UPDATE...I called the breeder Indians Paintbrush IS a GOLDEN RED, I also have one true red out (which I now learned those that call this color "chocolate" they are actually reds not chocolates... I know this because the breeder I got my birds from produced the color lol)! THen the two goldens I got....the are just goldens, but I didn't get time to ask her if they may carry red...I will make sure ot ask her next time. Sometime in novemeber I am going to join up with her on a NEW PROJECT COLOR!!!! I willnot be disclosing it because it's in the works, not yet a true color.
