Oh boy I’m developing a complex over here....my beautiful little gosling Luce Mae has grown up and is now about 3 months old. She (?) has bonded with her mate, Suwanne, and they have become fast friends. Now, Suwanee hasn’t really been affectionate, and he generally avoids me , and now my baby girl is following suit. she won’t even leave him to come to me for food if he doesn’t come also.

anyway I’m sure this is normal but wanted to soilicit some advice, opinions, sympathy...my little baby runs away from me now and I haven’t held her in a month :(

This is totally normal. I’m sure after a while you will be able to hold her again. She’s still young and developing and probably thinks of this male goose as fascinating.

Perfectly normal behavior on the part of the goose. I have always been frustrated at how geese seem to prefer the company of other geese and not me.

Thank you for giving me hope :). she won't wander far from me but seems to know the exact length of my arms and keeps me at the perimeter!
