They belong to FIL and BIL so I really don't have a say in the matter. Around when we first got the geese, the 2 dogs managed to open the gate into our orchard, where we keep the geese. I came out in the morning and couldn't believe my eyes. The dogs were sitting on one side, just sitting there, staring at the geese. The geese were on the other side, lined up, staring at the dogs. I wondered how long this stare-down had lasted before I got there. I ran and closed the gate before someone made a move. Another time the lab got in and tried to go after a goose and much to her surprise, the bird fought back, wings spread, hissing and biting, whomping that dog good with the wings. Now, I have no problems with the dogs and geese... If only I could say the same for the chickens.
