Shivers

Breed: Isa Brown
Rank: Second in command
Age: 1 year old

Shivers and her sister (Calypso) were part of a project for school, so when the project was over I got to take her home

Shivers is the second in command and never leaves her sister's side, she is the prettier of the two sisters and has warm amber eyes that watch the world with awe, a speckled neck, and light brown body with dark brown splashes on her body, and wings, although she is second in command she is the bossier and meaner of the two and will sometimes actively chase around the young pullets of the flock

Eclipse

Breed: Silver Spangled Hamburg
Rank: Third in command
Age: 8-9 months

Eclipse and her sister (luna) were rescued, my friend is a breeder and hatched the two chicks, but after he saw their living conditions in their new home he stepped in and asked me to take them home. I was not prepared to have any additions to the flock for a while longer as the Isa Browns had just started laying, but here we are.

Eclipse is a pure breed SS Hamburg but she came out a little different with glossy black feathers with white wing tips and little white speckles on her neck with big kind beady eyes, she is quite sweet but a little more skittish than her sister.

Eclipse and Luna never leave each other's sides, as seen in the pictures below

Luna

Breed: Silver Spangled Hamburg
Rank: Fourth in command
Age: 8-9 months

Luna and her sister (Eclipse) were rescued, my friend is a breeder and hatched the two chicks, but after he saw their living conditions in their new home he stepped in and asked me to take them home. I was not prepared to have any additions to the flock for a while longer as the Isa Browns had just started laying, but here we are.

Luna is fourth in command and is the standard SS Hamburg, with a white body covered in black spots and dark beady eyes that are filled with curiosity and warmth, Luna is bossier to the young pullets than Eclipse is but unlike her sister, she will sit on her perch or run up to you in the coop and eat foot out of your hand

Luna and Eclipse never leave each other's sides, as seen in the photos below

Fluffybutt

Breed: Splash Silkie
Rank: Flock Protector
Age: 7-8 months

Fluffybutt was the first rooster and silkie along with his mother (belle) to join our flock, he came from my chicken breeder friend.

Fluffybutt was the main protector of the flock before a young rooster (splash) attacked him, his pride was lowered and now he shares his position equally. He is a handsome white silkie with black splashes all over him, he was the first and what we thought was the last rooster to join our flock

As we take chickens in pairs so that they are not only we took his mother also.

Belle ( Bell bell)

Breed: Splash silkie
Rank: 3rd in command - Bottom of the pecking order
Age: 3 years

Belle was rescued from a pet shop, she lived in horrible conditions there with her brothers when my breeder friend saw them he immediately brought them home. He sold one and kept one of her brothers and gave belle to me as she had a leg condition causing her leg to be crippled, so she could not be in his breeding program. He kept her for a while and she accidentally hatched 5 babies, 2 roosters that died of natural causes, 2 hens (jin and Lila) and her last son (fluffyButt)

Belle was a white splash silkie that was dyed bright pink with a bossy personality which lead to her being in 2nd - 3rd command just below Calypso, but as her leg condition and age caught up to her, her rank dropped leading up to her death.

Although belle has passed she was still a crucial member of the flock and the first chicken i have ever lost. And for the year I had her she was the funniest, quirkiest and most adorable chicken ever
R.I.P belle
