We had a big rattler near our front gate the other day, and I thought, "That's it. I'm getting some guineas." So now I have 6 day-olds in the brooder. They are so tiny and sweet. I love how they all cheap in unison, just like adult guineas. They are 5 different colors: white, lavender, pearl, french, and 2 pied. Here are some pics!

They look exhausted

I have my first Guineas in the brooder right now. They just turned a month old. I've got Lavendar and Pearl.

They sure are adorable when their little huh?

Ditto on what MissPrissy said.

Mine never looked half dead .. they were either racing around or sleeping.

I have guinea eggs in the bator, just 7 though. I use to have 2 male pearls but we lost them to stray ranch dogs. They were wonderful little buggers & snake guards too! You've seen the property now, we have em' too! Yikes!

I've been checking them on their first night. They seem to all be active when awake, then very asleep, just as you all said. I am a little worried about predators too, but I'm going to chance it. I would rather not have snakes
