I've got 30 Guinea in the coop/run with my silkies and BO hens. They are LOUD no doubt about it. I knew before getting them that they would be noisy but jeepers
Most are pretty docile but a couple seem to be trouble makers with the other guineas, never bothering the chickens. They are very fun to watch and definately entertaining. They stick together like this big gang of thugs... that's what I call them when they come in and out of the run... too funny.
Five of the thirty are slate colored the rest are pearl and dark lavendar. We got the slate a couple of weeks after getting the others. The gang leaders pick on the lighter (slate) colored birds terribly and I can't figure out why. They are all the same age so that can't be it and they have been together for a month now but it's still happening. Could it be their color? The slate guineas are most definately the most docile of the group.
